Virtual Parenting Support Groups

If you are a parent of a teen, then this parenting support group is for you! Parents benefit most when they can process and discuss what they have learned with other parents. For that reason, this four-week program is designed to enable you to learn essential information and discuss important issues with your peers. By talking with other parents, you will find that you are not alone in your parenting journey. And the best part may be you can participate from the comfort and convenience of your own home.

This program consists of three parts:

	A one-hour weekly group telephone conference call over four consecutive weeks,
	A three-hour audio program. You will listen to one CD prior to each of the first three meetings*
	A private Facebook group where you can “talk” online with other group members.

*The content for this unique program is centered around our award-winning audio program “You’re Empowered! Parenting Teens with Conviction, Communication and Love” by Sue Blaney. This program consists of three one-hour audio recordings available on CD and mp3. (The recordings are included in the price of the program.) The 3 CD’s are the focus on discussion for the first three conference calls. The fourth conference call will be open for general discussion.

Using the rich content in the CD’s we will discuss:

• What’s behind teens’ behavior - why do they act they way they do?
• The three most common communication mistakes parents make and how to avoid them,
• Three communication strategies you can put in effect today,
• The personality types and influences that most influence teens’ involvement with alcohol and drugs,
• What you can do to keep your teen from getting involved with risky behavior.
