Training for Rollercoaster Discussion Group Leaders
|
Tele-seminar training is available for group leaders to ensure you are fully prepared to deliver the Rollercoaster program. This training is the most time-efficient way to increase your familiarity with this program, build the skills that you'll need to lead it and increase your understanding of the parents of teens with whom you'll be working.
The tele-seminar training is delivered in two live 90 minute telephone
sessions, and the sessions are set up on an as-needed basis. Contact Sue Blaney
to express your interest. (800-234-1250)
NEXT TRAINING IS WILL begin the week of Feb 18,
2008. If you are interested, please let me know so you may join our group! |
In this Tele-seminar training for group leaders:

- laying the groundwork for trust,
- areas and topics that may trip you up,
- parents' emotional context and how that impacts the group process.
- You'll review facilitation basics that are important to your role as group discussion leader:
- Encouraging full participation by all group members,
- Bringing out the shy participant,
- Toning down the group member who may be overbearing,
- Dealing with sensitive issues that may take you off task,
- Keeping the group on task and on schedule,
- Redirecting conversations when necessary.
- You'll have the opportunity to ask questions of the program creator, Sue Blaney
- You'll network with other group leaders so you can share ideas and strategies.
This training is available for $99.00 and we offer
the classes on an as-needed basis, keeping the groups small and intimate to
ensure group leaders are getting what they need. It is expected that you will
have already received your Leader's Guide (secular, Christian or Jewish
versions) as we will refer to the course content. Call Sue Blaney with your
interest and needs and we'll get you into the next tele-training session. Call
